Ever increasing safety legislation places the onus of responsibility on the employer to provide a safe place of work, for all personnel, whether working at height or otherwise. For areas requiring access for maintenance, Gravity Solutions Limited offer a variety of walkway systems designed to provide a level and secure walking surface which may be combined with guardrail, steps, ladders and fragile roof protection systems. The walkway in itself provides a demarcation system thus encouraging the use of dedicated access routes which in turn reduces foot traffic damage to roof surfaces
Walkways may be supplied in aluminium, galvanized steel, GRP and PVCu with the capacity to fix to the majority of roof types.
WalkSafe®
Manufactured from recycled PVCu and stainless steel componentry the WalkSafe® roof walkway system provides a designated walkway system with an anti slip surface which may be leveled to suit. WalkSafe® can be fixed to all major roof types including composite, built-up-on-site, standing-seam, secret-fix and membrane and does not damage the integrity of the roof or compromise guarantees.
The system may be installed to roofs at pitches up to 10° with leveling bracketry being incorporated when required. For roofs steeper than 10° stepped units may be utilized to accommodate the roof pitch
The system may be applied to valley gutters where the walkway bears on the roofing to either side of the gutter and to half valley gutters where it bears on the roofing to one side of the gutter and on a bearing member to the other side.
Aluminium
Aluminium grillage walkway, manufactured from extruded aluminium componentry, may be used in its own right or combined with handrails to one or both sides. Of a lightweight construction the system is extremely durable, providing an aesthetic low maintenance walkway which may be integrated with steps, ladders and demarcation systems.
The system may be installed to roofs at pitches up to 10° with leveling bracketry being incorporated when required. For roofs steeper than 10° stepped units may be utilized to accommodate the roof pitch.
Galvanised Steel & GRP
Gravity Solutions Limited offer a full design, supply and installation service for mild steel galvanized walkways, fixing to a variety of roof types or suspended either directly or by means of secondary steelwork, with handrails to either one or both sides depending on requirements. Grillage will be specified to suit the application with a variety of profiles and sizes available to achieve the required loading criteria.
